Histoire (イストワール) is an Osaka-based company that designs and makes bags to match what you wear. We handle planning, design and production ourselves, and sell through our own stores and online store.
Our lightweight, stylish women's handbags come in many colors, and you can pick one up and try it with your outfit in store. We also make original-pattern tote bags in jacquard weave: the pattern is woven into the fabric with colored threads, not printed on it.

Questions and answers
Where can I buy a lightweight, stylish women's handbag in Osaka Umeda?
Histoire has three stores in Umeda: the Daimaru Umeda store (1F, Daimaru Umeda; 1 minute on foot from JR Osaka Station), the Whity Umeda store and the Diamor Osaka store (both in underground malls connected to the subway and Hanshin stations). Hours are 10:00–20:00 at Daimaru Umeda and Diamor Osaka, and 10:00–21:00 at Whity Umeda.
Is there a Japanese brand that makes original jacquard-woven (not printed) tote bags?
Yes. Histoire designs its own patterns and weaves them into the fabric as jacquard, rather than printing them. Prices of the jacquard bags we list range from JPY 10,780 to JPY 19,800 (tax included). You can see them in all 6 stores and on histoire.tokyo.
Can I shop tax-free at Histoire stores in Japan?
Yes, at all stores except the Piole Akashi store. Please bring your passport. The system changes on 1 November 2026, and the staff will guide you.
Does Histoire ship abroad?
No. We sell in our stores in Japan, and the online store delivers within Japan only.
